Do You Actually Believe God Loves You?

Steve’s Starting Line:“You have breath in your lungs, you were given grace to live another day. Now, what are you doing with it? You are not guaranteed tomorrow.”

I think a lot of us spend our energy trying to convince God that we love Him. But the harder question is this: do you actually believe that He loves you?

Maybe you have followed Jesus for a long time and still wrestle with sin or bad decisions. Maybe you feel like you have lost your joy or even feel like a failure. Do you think those things cloud your perspective of His love for you?

If you sat with Jesus right now, would He still love you? The answer is yes. Every single time. But the real struggle is getting to a place where you actually live like that is true.

Jesus gave us a template in the Sermon on the Mount. The very first words are, Our Father in heaven. This week, go to a quiet place, open Matthew 6, and pray that line slowly: My Father in heaven. Let it sink in. You are His child. You are His loved child.
